TEMPLATE DESCRIPTION

Fortune 500 Excel List 2026 ranks the 500 largest companies in the United States by total revenue. The latest 2026 edition is available in a clean, ready-to-use Excel format, allowing you to sort, filter, compare, and analyze the complete ranking without browsing company pages one by one.

According to Fortune’s methodology, companies are ranked by their total revenues for their respective fiscal years. Eligible companies must be incorporated and operate in the United States and file financial statements with a government agency. The ranking includes both public and qualifying private companies.

Fortune publishes the Fortune 500 companies list annually. The 2026 ranking was released on June 3, 2026, and mainly reflects revenue generated during 2025, based on each company’s respective fiscal year.

In the 2026 ranking, Amazon reached No. 1 and ended Walmart’s 13-year run at the top. Together, Fortune 500 companies generated $21.0 trillion in revenues and $2.1 trillion in profits, employed 30.5 million people worldwide, and had a combined market value of more than $55 trillion.

What is the difference between Fortune 500 and Fortune Global 500?

The Fortune 500 includes eligible U.S. companies only, whereas the Fortune Global 500 ranks the largest companies worldwide, regardless of their country of incorporation.

    I tried to open the Excel file on my Mac, but it didn’t work. It seems like the template is only compatible with Windows. This is frustrating because I specifically chose this product for its Excel format.
