1. Property Menu
Above all, on the Menu section, you’ll find a list to record your property details such as:

Also, on the same list, you’ll see “Go” buttons. So, these buttons will navigate you to the relevant property page, where you’ll add all other expense and income details.
2. Property Pages
Now, it’s time to calculate house flipping expenses and profit for each property. The property pages include three main sections:
- Property Information
- Expense Recording
- Summary
a. Property Information Section
Firstly, on the left-hand side you’ll find general property information, which come from the main dashboard list. You can add new information here if you like.

Secondly, just under the general info, you’ll find Purchase information area. So, you’ll record all the expenses you’ve made for that property under three main cost groups:
- Purchase costs: Purchase Price, Inspections, Appraisals, Surveys, Lawyer Fees, Closing Cost, etc.
- Monthly Holding Costs: Mortgage payments, taxes, insurance, Water, Electricity, Gas, etc.

Then, you should also add Sale Costs, such as Sale Price, Commissions to Agents, Buyer Home Warranty, Buyer Termite Letter, Closing Costs, etc on your House Flipping Calculator Excel Template.
So, these metrics will be used to calculate your profit from fix and flip activities.
b. House Flipping Expense Recording Section
Secondly, you will record your flipping expenses on the list. You can add:
- Expense Date
- Cost Type: Labor, Material or Overhead

c. Property Financial Summary Section
