You need to complete the Customer, Materials, Labor database, and payment details once you start to use the template. Then you will only need to fill in details that can vary from one invoice to another or from one customer to another.
In the Customer Database tab, you can add all your customer’s info. The information in this tab will be dynamically connected to Invoice, so fill in carefully and please note that the tool supports up to 200 contacts. You only need to complete this part once and update it whenever you have new customers.
Material and Labor Database
The Material and Labor Database has the same logic as the Customer database. Similarly, you can add all the necessary details here and update them whenever you decide to increase your product base.
Again in this section contractor invoice template supports up to 200 various materials and labor.
The contractor invoice also includes payment options. In order to have selectable options in the Invoice tab, fill all Payment Details on this page.
First of all, insert your logo and company details and put the date and invoice number manually. Since the important info of your company changes rarely, you will not have to input this section repetitively.
The “Bill to” part is dynamically connected to your Customer database, so you can select the Client Company name from the Dropdown list. Besides that, the Table Descriptions for Materials and Labor are connected to their database. After you select Material, you will only need to enter the quantity manually. The template will populate Unit price and Total automatically. Apply the same procedure for the “Labor” section as well.
In case there are any, you can enter manually your Discount Amount and tax rate to the Total Amount.
Finally, In the “Remarks” section select the Payment method from the Dropdown menu. All other payment instructions and conditions will be retrieved from the Payment details tab that you have already input.
Details of services are a kind of notes box in which you can enter additional data or comment if you have anything to indicate.
