    Good Day!!!

Will there be an updated spreadsheet showing the playoff format adopted by the NHL this season as a result of the COVID pandemic??

The top four teams in each conference will play a round robin schedule for seeding and teams placed 5 through 12 will face each other in a qualifying round (5 vs 12, 6 vs 11, 7 vs 10, and 8 vs 9).

The four qualifying round winners will then play the top four seeds based on the results of the round robin.

Please advise when you have the opportunity. Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thank you.

I am using your NHL template for a while, and like it. My question pertains to adding up points. I’m pushing for the NHL to go to the way European Soccer calculates points. Three points for a win in regulation, two for an overtime win and one for an overtime loss. Can your system accommodate also this?

    • Someka

      Hi Dean,
Thanks a lot for your feedback! Yes, you can do this with our template but, one of our developers should be assigned to you for this and customize the template according to your needs. You can learn our customization process from here: Hire an Excel Expert

The template doesnt register one of the first games of the Tempa Bay Lightning good. They lost after OT but in the standings they doesnt get a point for the loss. Even the matches played isnt changed.

  6. Miles

The standings does not recognizes OT with a shootout winner right. I wrote 0-0 in the OT columns and selected the Shootout winner, but the defeated team does not get the 1 point they deserved for getting in OT. The same if a winner is determined in OT.

    • Someka

Please help. I have not been able to open the file location.
PS. I do not want to ruin your ratings.

    • Someka

      Hello Marmanu,

As far as we understand, you can not able to use the template after you download it, right? Did you unzip your file before starting to use it? Because otherwise it will be opened in a readable format and you can not enable the editing option.

      Hope that helps!
