This year, I’ve used many helpful tools, but the Someka Event Calendar Template stands out for its straightforwardness and usefulness.

  6. Adsila L

Your templates are excellent! Dose this Dynamic Event Calendar use macros, or can it be used without them?

    • Someka

      Hi Adsila,

Yes, this template includes macros, and to see the events of the selected date on the dashboard, we do need macros.
This template has also a macro for auto-protecting the dashboard sheet each time it’s opened. These are some of our precautions to prevent any possible user mistakes.
If you are searching for a more simple template to track your events/notes etc. which does not include any VBA codes/macros, we also recommend you to look at our Excel Calendar Template product.

  8. U. Ware

nice to see calendar of whole year on just one screen

  9. Laura

    Perfect for what I’m after!

Can you let me know please how I change the colour linked to the priority level when it shows on the dates in the calendar?
I changed the colour in the key at the top however that’s clearly not where it’s linking to.

    thanks!

    • Someka

      Hi Laura,
Thank you for your kind words.
The colors on the Calendar are set by conditional formatting. Changing the colors on the key is not enough, you have to change it from the conditional formattting settings.
Let me explain how to change your conditional formatting settings:
After being sure that your sheet is unlocked, go to Home > Conditional Formatting > Manage Rules.
      Dynamic Event Calendar
Select Worksheet from the dropdown to see all the rules, then select the rule you want to edit and click on Edit Rule.
On the Edit Formatting Rule window click on Format button and then in the Format Cell window under the Fill area you’ll select the color you want to apply before clicking on OK.
      Dynamic Event Calendar
      Hope this helps!
In case you still need help for changing colors, just let us know and we’ll help you to format your calendar according to your needs.

  10. Mona

I loved it! very nice, how can I change the gray rows (weekends) to become on Fridays & Saturdays?

    • Someka

      Hi Mona,

It’s good to hear that you love it! Our developer team has added conditional formatting inside the template to color it grey when the day falls on a weekend. So, if you would like to change the weekend days, you should rearrange the conditional formatting options from the Home tab > Styles Section. Hope that helps!

  11. Julie Shaffer

I like how your Dynamic Events Calendar looks and I think it is what I have been looking for. However we do have multiple events sometimes on the same day (I am trying to use one calendar for events, webinars, podcasts, editorial due dates). How is that handled? It looks like this template only allows for one event per day. Is that correct?

    • Someka

      Hi Julie,

First of all, thanks a lot for your interest!

Actually, you can add multiple events to the same day by using a comma between them. But, we recommend doing this if all the events can have the same prioritization.

The template will be more efficient when you use priority selection just for one event. On the other hand, you will only be able to see just one color in the calendar symbolizing the priority of the event for that day.

      Hope that helps!

    • Julie Shaffer

Thank you for your quick response. Yours is the closest solution to what I’ve been looking for, which is place to detail all events, podcasts, webinars, and also our editorial calendar dates. I thought I could adapt this for all of those things, but it would require multiple lines to be seen on the calendar on one day for diverse projects. Do you do custom work?

    • Someka

      Hi Julie,

Thanks again for your kind words!

Yes, you can visit this page to learn our customization process: Hire Excel Expert

  12. Hellery Jacinto

i have question, when i input event example for May 1, 2019, when i change year to 2020 the May 1, 2019 still appear on 2020?
everything works perfectly. just this one

    • Someka

Hi Hellery. Glad to hear that the template is perfect for you 🙂
Regarding the date change: yes, changing the year does not remove/add your own written words and data. (it would be confusing otherwise) If you want to manage two separate years we recommend using our template for 2019 and another workbook for 2020 (you can create as many workbooks as you want)
Contact us if you have further questions.

  13. Roy

I purchased the template. can i remove the someka logo?

  14. Tom

Very good, but what happens if there are two events on one day?

    • Someka

In Dynamic Event Calendar, you need to input separate days. Because when you input a new entry to the “Daily Events” section, they will appear on the calendar view. In dashboard, it paints the days with an event in it. And when you click on any painted day, it shows the details in a quick view box right side!

  15. KB

I purchased the Dynamic Events Calendar to be able to track and also nicely present my two teams’ complex events in line with their requirements. I’m 100% satisfied with the product and it proved to be a great success with my team members. Customer service is exceptionally good and the agents are super helpful. I can highly recommend Someka! Thank you!
